How to Get More Backlinks for Your Website?

When you create a blog or an article, you want it to rank well and receive traffic. Visitors visit your blog -- not to mention the business they bring.
Among the many factors that combine to decide the ranking of your website on a search engine, backlinks are one of the most important. Google loves them.
Although backlinks are good, low PR (page rank) backlinks can do your website more harm than good.
Back in the good old days--some five-six years ago-- of internet marketing, webmasters had a few handy tools available. Their strategy was to do a lot of directory submission, article submission, and forum submission to get many backlinks and consequently a good rank. Fast forward in 2014, these tools have lost their potency.
Isn’t there any hope?
Of course, there is. The times have changed so the tools must change. Today if you want quality websites to direct visitors to you, create shareable quality content and go social.
Focus on the title of your blog or article. Make the content so good that readers will want to share and link to it. This is not as easy as submission, but it can pay you handsomely in the long run.
Social media is absolutely essential. Join online communities that are related to your profession, on Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, LinkedIn, and other forums.
Participate. When you write a post or an article, share it. If your content is good (have you read the first technique?) your community members will very likely spread the word--thereby, giving you much awaited high PR backlinks.
