Regression testing is the testing type which is done when new changes or enhancements are added to the particular application. Testing is done on the whole basis to test that there were no new issues found. This testing is generally done to check that new amendments have no impact on our current functionalities and everything is working same as it was working before the changes. In agile methodologies where the software application sprints are short with minimum resources, and changes to the software are very frequent, having a regression testing is a must.
