  We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Network & Systems Administrator to join our team in Chandigarh. As a key member of our IT team, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining network and system infrastructure, ensuring that our services are secure, high-performing, and always available. This role requires a strong technical background in network management, systems administration, and security practices, with a focus on providing 24/7 support for network and system-related issues.

  Key Responsibilities:

   

  • Software/Hardware/Network Management:
    Install, maintain, and troubleshoot software, hardware, and network systems to ensure smooth operations. Monitor network performance, identify potential issues, and implement improvements for reliability and efficiency.

  • Operating Systems Management:
    Manage and optimize Windows OS systems, resolving OS-related issues that could affect system or network functionality, and ensuring seamless performance.

  • Networking Expertise:
    Strong knowledge of the OSI Layer Model, TCP/IP protocols, subnetting, and VLANs. Expertise in LAN configuration, IP addressing, and subnetting to ensure an efficient network.

  • Network Devices Management:
    Configure and maintain servers, routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points to ensure reliable and secure network connectivity.

  • Networking Services:
    Configure and manage DNS, DHCP, and web servers (Apache, IIS) to ensure support for the organization's infrastructure and the smooth running of services.

  • Email & Security Management:
    Oversee email systems, manage anti-spam solutions, and maintain virus protection systems, ensuring uninterrupted and secure communication for users.

  • Network Security:
    Implement and manage VPN configurations, firewall setups, and other security protocols to safeguard the network against external threats.

  • VoIP Support:
    Maintain and support VoIP services, ensuring stable voice communication across the network.

  • Application Hosting:
    Support the hosting of Internet/Intranet applications, ensuring uptime and continuous monitoring to resolve issues and maintain application performance.

  • Database Management:
    Administer and support MySQL and SQL Server databases, ensuring they operate with high availability, proper backup, and optimal performance.

  • Backup & Recovery Solutions:
    Design, implement, and test comprehensive backup and disaster recovery strategies to guarantee business continuity and data integrity.

  • 24/7 Support:
    Provide round-the-clock support for network and system issues, ensuring quick resolution to minimize downtime and ensure high availability.

  • Communication:
    Regularly provide updates to stakeholders on both planned and unplanned network activities, ensuring transparency and prompt communication regarding incidents and changes.

  • Documentation:
    Maintain detailed and up-to-date network configuration documentation, troubleshooting guides, and process documentation for operational continuity and internal knowledge sharing.

  Qualifications:

   

  • Experience:
    3+ years of hands-on experience as a Network & Systems Administrator, supporting network and system infrastructure in a professional environment.

  • Technical Skills:
    Proficient in managing and configuring Windows OS, routers, switches, firewalls, and other networking equipment.
    Deep understanding of TCP/IP, VLANs, subnetting, and network protocols.
    Experience with DNS, DHCP, VPNs, and web hosting services (Apache, IIS).
    Knowledge of MySQL or SQL Server database management.

  • Security Expertise:
    Solid experience in implementing and managing security tools such as firewalls, anti-virus/anti-spam systems, and VPNs.

  • VoIP Experience:
    Hands-on experience implementing and maintaining VoIP systems for telecommunication support.

  • Backup & Disaster Recovery:
    Knowledge of backup solutions and disaster recovery planning to ensure business continuity.

  • Communication Skills:
    Strong ability to communicate technical information clearly to both technical and non-technical team members and stakeholders.

  • Adaptability & Multi-tasking:
    Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and quickly adapt to evolving technologies.

  Preferred Skills:

   

  • Certifications:
    Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or other networking-related certifications.
    CompTIA Network+ or Security+ certification.
    Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA) or similar certifications.

  • Software Proficiency:
    Proficiency in using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for reporting and documentation purposes.

  • Web Hosting:
    Experience with hosting and supporting web services and applications (Apache, IIS) is a plus.

  • Cloud Technologies:
    Familiarity with cloud-based hosting or cloud network configuration is an advantage.
