Job Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and proactive System Administrator with 1-3 years of experience to join our IT team in Chandigarh. As a System Administrator, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and supporting the company’s IT infrastructure. Key Responsibilities:
- System Setup & Maintenance: Assist in configuring and maintaining company servers, systems, and hardware. Ensure that systems are set up correctly and operating efficiently.
- Network Management: Assist with network administration tasks such as configuring and monitoring LAN, WAN, VPNs, and other networking systems to ensure optimal performance.
- Technical Support: Provide effective technical support to end-users, resolving hardware, software, and network issues in a timely manner.
- System Monitoring & Performance: Regularly monitor system performance and network activity using monitoring tools, ensuring smooth operation and performance of all IT services.
- Security & Backup: Assist in implementing and managing security protocols, including user access control, firewalls, and system updates. Ensure regular backups and verify successful data restoration processes.
- Software Updates & Installations: Install, configure, and update software applications to keep systems secure and functioning smoothly.
- Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve system issues, minimizing downtime and ensuring continuous service delivery.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of IT infrastructure, system configurations, troubleshooting logs, and updates.
- Collaboration: Work with other IT team members on system improvements and assist with IT projects.
Qualifications:
- Experience: 1-3 years of experience in system administration, IT support, or related fields.

Technical Skills:
- Experience with Windows Server and/or Linux-based systems.
- Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs).
- Familiarity with Active Directory and user account management.
- Experience in troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues.
- Knowledge of backup and recovery systems.
- Problem-Solving: Strong ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues quickly and efficiently.
- Security Awareness: Basic understanding of security best practices, including user access management and firewalls.
- Communication Skills: Good verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction with internal teams and users.
Certifications (Preferred):
- Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA) or equivalent.
- CompTIA Network+ or Security+ (or similar).
- Any Linux certifications (e.g., RHCSA) are a plus.
Personal Traits:
- Proactive, quick to learn, and detail-oriented.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
